Projects that interpret patient experience surveys to highlight new and valuable information, identify areas for improvement or provide benchmarking against peers. Support is also available to pilot and evaluate new approaches to collecting and interpreting patient experience data.
Our ‘Improving Patient Experience’ programme focuses on the series of national patient experience surveys and uses a range of analytical techniques to help decision makers identify opportunities to improve the quality of care for patients. Most of our work to date has focused on the national Inpatient Survey but is now being extended to the other national surveys (Accident and Emergency services)
The Friends and Family Test (FFT) is a more recent development for NHS services than the Inpatient Survey, and is based on a simpler concept than a scientific survey: asking patients whether they would recommend a service to family or friends.
NEQOS can undertake bespoke analyses of existing patient experience surveys to explore the findings in depth for an individual Trust, to support further improvement and learning.
