Commissioned by the North East and North Cumbria’s Child Health and Wellbeing Network, NEQOS have just produced a report designed as a snapshot of children’s, young people’s and maternal health in the North East and North Cumbria. It summarises the current position and trend over time where available on a wide range of indicators relating to pregnancy and children and young people aged from birth to 25 years. These may be in the form of risk factors, outcomes, spend and healthcare usage which all combine to give us a view of how things vary across the region and compare nationally.
The Facts of Life report was recently launched at the recent North East and North Cumbria Child Health and Wellbeing Network huddle, with Heather Corlett the programme lead thanking NEQOS for developing the report and describing it as an Aladdin’s Cave of information for the system to use.
Members that attended the launch huddle described the report as ‘Fabulous’ and ‘an Excellent resource and reference point’ and that ‘This resource will support with wide range of opportunities to utilise – from work with children, young people and families to commissioned providers as well as school profiles and joint strategic needs assessments, for example on a range of health inequalities.’
The report is freely available for all professionals and young people to use on the Child Health and Wellbeing Network page on the North East and North Cumbria ICS website.
