The NHS Safety Thermometer is a point of care survey instrument collecting information on a range of ‘harms’ and also calculates the proportion of patients who receive ‘harm free’ care over time.
It is described as a local improvement tool for measuring, monitoring and analysing patient harms and ‘harm free’ care and is a measure of the proportion of people in a population who have one or more of four harms at a particular time and date. This interactive tool will allow your organisation to compare against your peers as well as undertake internal comparisons across different service areas within your setting.
